This Japanese artist creates unbelievably refined works on the pencil’s lead by carving into the graphite’s core.
In the video below he makes a chain ending with a key, without breaking the core! He also manages to keep the chain’s links flexible.

According to the artist, he aims to make a 26 link-chain and to apply for a Guinness world record.
